Edward Okuń
(1872 - 1945)
Started his studies at the Warsaw Drawing School to continue education at the Academy of Cracow, in Munich and Paris. Settled in Rome, took many trips to the Italian cities of Florence, Sorrento, Amalfi and the island of Capri. After his return to Poland in 1921, took professorship at the Warsaw Academy (1925-1930). After his mythical landscapes and ornamental portraits full of symbolic references, Okuń is recognized as one of the outstanding exponents of the Polish Secession.
